2017 Itinerary:
12 DAYS ANDALUCIA & MOROCCO TOUR Visits: Caceres, Seville, Ronda, Marbella, Fes, Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Granada, Toledo
DAY 1 (Thursday):                MADRID / CACERES / SEVILLA
Depart from the Trapsatur Madrid Bus Terminal at 08:00am towards the region of Extremadura and arrival to Cáceres, founded by the Romans in 25BC, the old town section of this beautiful city invites travellers to enjoy medieval streets, plazas, towers, battlements, palaces, churches and convents. Free time on arrival may allow time for some exploration or perhaps a chance to enjoy the highly regarded local cuisine and wines at one of many inns and restaurants. Continue southwards into Andalucia and arrival to Seville. Dinner and accommodations. Optional tour to attend a flamenco show.
 
DAY 2 (Friday):                      SEVILLA
After breakfast a morning city tour visiting the Barrio de Santa Cruz with its narrow streets, the Park of Maria Luisa and Plaza de Espana, with panoramic sightseeing of the city.
Optional Artistic tour including the Royal Alcazar Palace.
An afternoon at leisure to explore the city, perhaps a river cruise along the Guadalquir or a visit to the pseudo reconstruction of Pontius Pilates House (Casa de Pilatos), which began in the 16th century, and presents an interesting blend of mudejar, gothic and renaissance styles with its beautiful patio and gallery, elegant fountain and ornamental minerva statues. Dinner and accommodations.
 
DAY 3 (Saturday):                 SEVILLA / RONDA / MARBELLA
Following breakfast, travel the route of the white villages including a stopover in Ronda, located over a deep ravine cut into rock 100 metres the Rio Tajo. Ronda has a spectacular location, this town simply invites visitors to wander along fascinating streets and alleys, or relax at one of the local cafes, perhaps overlooking the gorge, enjoying the beautiful regional cuisine and fine local wines while watching the world go by. Continue to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and accommodation in Marbella.
 
DAY 4 (Sunday):                    MARBELLA / FES
After breakfastdepart for Tarifa to board the ferry crossing the Strait of Gibraltar towards Africa. Arrive into Morocco and after customs continue by motorcoach to the imperial city of Fes. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 5 (Monday):                   FES
The most ancient of the Imperial Cities, founded in the 8th century, Fes has become the spiritual heart and cultural centre of Morocco. Following breakfast enjoy a Fes sightseeing program visiting the old and new cities. The new city holds the Royal Palace, the 7 big doors and Jewish quarter. Afterwards enter the old icty through the main door of Bab Jeloud. Walk along the important streets of the medina with a thousand smells and different tasts. Your afternoon is at leisure allows visitors to discover and explore Fes themselves which can be achieved in hours or days, this is a wonderful city with a fabulous “World Heritage” medieval medina. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 6 (Tuesday):                  FES / IFRANE / BENI MELLAL / MARRAKECH
Following breakfast depart for Marrakech crossing the middle Atlas region, via cities Ifrane, Khenifra and Beni Mellal. Dinner and accommodation in Marrakech.
 
DAY 7 (Wednesday):             MARRAKECH
Following breakfast, a morning city sightseeing tour visiting the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, Bahia Palace and the famous Djemaa el Fna Squarefilled with its magical sights and sounds including snake charmers, jugglers, acrobats, storytellers, pickpockets and even dentists. Djemaa El Fna is special. Afternoon at leisure to continue discovering this exciting city by yourself. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 8 (Thursday):                MARRAKECH
Breakfast and then your day is free to explore on your own, or take an optional tour, perhaps into the Atlas Mountains. Your guide will give you options to choose from. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 9 (Friday):                      MARRAKECH / CASABLANCA / RABAT
Breakfast and then depart for the cosmopolitan city of Casablanca, made even more famous by the movies. City tour including the very impressive Hassan II Mosque (outside only). In the afternoon continue to Rabat, capital of the Kingdom of Morocco. A city tour includes the Mausoleum of Mohamed V and Hassan Tower, and the outside of the Royal Palace, official residence of the King. Dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 10 (Saturday):               RABAT / TANGIER / MARBELLA
After breakfast departure for Tangier. On arrival enjoy a panoramic tour of the city and then board the ferry and cross the Strait back to Spain. Continue along the Costa del Sol to Marbella for dinner and accommodation.
 
DAY 11 (Sunday):                  MARBELLA / GRANADA
After breakfast depart for Granada, the final stronghold of the Moorish Kingdom in 1492, a glorious city immortalised in song and verse, overlooked by the majestic snow covered Sierra Nevadas. Enjoy a sightseeing tour visiting the Alhambra with its beautiful Nazari Palaces and the Generalife Gardens, which showcases Moorish palaces and towers and gardens, including terraces, pools and fountains in an incomparable setting – the Alhambra is special. Dinner and accommodation.
Optional visit to the Sacromonte caves and attend a typical gipsy flamenco show.
 
DAY 12 (Monday):                 GRANADA / TOLEDO / MADRID
After breakfast travel to the Imperial city of Toledo – a national monument of Spain, where the cultures and great religions of Spain (Christian, Moorish and Jewish) have left behind a legacy that makes Toledo a special place to visit. After lunch, your sightseeing tour includes Spanish art, history and spirituality, helping to uncover some secrets of this historical and artistic city. Next is Madrid – end of tour.
