Day 1 (Wednesday)               MADRID / TRUJILLO / LISBON
Depart at 0830 from the Julia Bus Terminal (Plaza de Oriente). Drive towards Extremadura region, a relaxing drive to Trujillo, hometown of many discoverers of the new world. Free time to see the beautiful Plaza Mayor. Continue on through Portuguese soil along the Alentejo plains. Arrive over the impressive bridge 25th April to Lisbon, capital city of Portugal. Accommodation. Optional night tour to attend a show of Fado (typical Portuguese songs and music).
Day 2 (Thursday)                   LISBON
After breakfast a morning sightseeing tour of the ancient Olissipo, drive through its main squares and avenues, Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Coach Museum, Monument to the Discoveries, Marquis of Pombal Square, Liberty Avenue and the Alfama quarter. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.
Day 3 (Friday)                        LISBON / OBIDOS / ALCOBAZA / NAZARE / BATALHA / FATIMA
After breakfast we will drive north and arrive at our first point of interest: the beautiful walled town of Óbidos with its picturesque streets and the Pousada do Castelo. We will then travel on to Alcobaça to visit a 12th century church containing the tombs of Pablo and Inês de Castro. For lunch, we will go to Nazaré - the most colourful of Portuguese fishing villages. If possible, we will then travel on to the Sitio to have a panoramic view of the beach and the village. In the afternoon we will visit the Batalha Monastery, a masterpiece of the Gothic and Manueline style considered a heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Continue to Fátima. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 4 (Saturday)                    FATIMA / LISBON
After breakfast the day is at your disposal for activities of a personal nature in Fátima. This city is a centre of Christian faith and world pilgrimage. Visit the church where the tombstones of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco are, as well as the Chapel of Apparitions, heart of the shrine. You will have time to attend a mass. At the end of the day we will return to Lisbon through the colourful farming region. Arrival and accommodation.
Day 5 (Sunday)                      LISBON / CACERES / CORDOBA
Breakfast and depart at 0730 for Caceres (World Heritage City)because of the city's blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic & Italian Renaissance architecture. We will walk through its Plaza Mayor and the Old Town with its Medieval Quarter. Continue to Cordoba, once the capital of the Caliphate. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 (Monday)                     CORDOBA / SEVILLE
After breakfast a Cordoba city tour including the impressive Mosque and Jewish Quarter. Continue to Seville, a wonderful city, regarded by some as the romantic capital of Andalucía. Visitors can understand why this city is the setting for the Operas Carmen, Don Juan & Figaro as well as being the home of the fiery flamenco; they feel it in the narrow streets, squares, courtyards and colourful patios of the Santa Cruz district. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 (Tuesday)                    SEVILLE
After breakfast a morning Monumental and Panoramic city tour including the Cathedral from outside, Santa Cruz Quarter, and Maria Luisa Gardens. An afternoon at leisure to explore the city, perhaps a river cruise along the Guadalquir or a visit to the pseudo reconstruction of Pontius Pilates House (Casa de Pilatos), which began in the 16th century, and presents an interesting blend of mudejar, gothic and renaissance styles with its beautiful patio and gallery, elegant fountain and ornamental minerva statues. Dinner and accommodation. Optional Flamenco tour.
Day 8 (Wednesday)               SEVILLE / RONDA / COSTA DEL SOL
Following breakfast, travel the route of the white villages including a stopover in Ronda, located over a deep ravine cut into rock. You will have time at leisure to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvellous view of the valley and mountain range. Continue to the Costa del Sol with your afternoon at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 9 (Thursday)                   COSTA DEL SOL
Today your breakfast and dinner is included. The whole day is at leisure. Optional tours are available.
Day 10 (Friday)                      COSTAL DEL SOL – TANGIER – RABAT – CASABLANCA
After breakfast, drive along the Costa del Sol to Tarifa to board the ferry to cross the strait of Gibraltar. Arrive in at Tangier in Morocco, disembark and continue via Larache to Rabat for a city tour of the diplomatic and administrative capital, including an outside visit of the most important sights such as the Royal Palace, Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. Then depart for Casablanca, the economic capital, for dinner and accommodation.
Day 11 (Saturday)                  CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH
Breakfast, then a panoramic city tour of Casablanca, including the most interesting sites of the city – Anfa boulevard, Nations square, and an outside visit of Hassan II grand mosque. Continue onto Marrakech with lunch en route. Enjoy a visit of Marrakech, the South capital, which is located within an extensive oasis between the Atlas Mountains and the pre-deserted area, including the Koutoubia Tower, twin tower of the Giralda in Seville, Saadines Tombs and Bay Palace and Djemaa El Fna Square, which is packed with fortune tellers, snake tamers, acrobats, dancers etc. Dinner and accommodation. Optional dinner & show at the Chez Ali Fantasia.
Day 12 (Sunday)                    MARRAKECH – MEKNES – FES
Breakfast, then drive to towards the ancient and imperial city of Meknes, with a short panoramic city tour including the great Bab Al Mansour Gate. Continue onto Fes for dinner and 2 nights accommodation.
Day 13 (Monday)                   FES
After breakfast a morning city tour of Fes, the most ancient of the Imperial Cities of Morocco, visiting the more interesting points of the city: the Royal Palace, Christian and Jewish Quarter and the “Medina” (Old City), declared Patrimony of the Humanity. Afternoon at leisure to explore on your own. Dinner and accommodation. Tonight enjoy an optional dinner and show.
Day 14 (Tuesday)                  FES – TANGIER – COSTA DEL SOL
After breakfast depart for Tangier and then board the ferry to return across the strait of Gibraltar back to Spain. Disembark and continue to Costa del Sol. Dinner and 2 nights accommodation.
Day 15 (Wednesday)            COSTA DEL SOL
Today your breakfast and dinner is included. The whole day is at leisure. Optional tours are available.
Day 16 (Thursday)                 COSTA DEL SOL / GRANADA
After breakfast depart for Granada, a glorious city immortalised in song and verse, overlooked by the majestic snow covered Sierra Nevadas. Visit the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492, an amazing monumental environment. Dinner and accommodation. Optional Gipsy Flamenco show at Sacromonte quarter.
Day 17 (Friday)                      GRANADA / TOLEDO / MADRID
Breakfast; then depart for the Imperial City of Toledo (World Heritage city), where the three cultures of Spain (Christians, Moorish and Jewish) have lived together. Enjoy a tour of the most important city monuments, its narrow streets and the famous “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron). Continue to Madrid. END OF TOUR.
