Day 1 (Tuesday)                    MADRID / LEON / OVIEDO
Depart from the centrally located VPT bus terminal at 8am to Leon. Upon arrival time at leisure to visit some of the most representative buildings, such as the Gothic Cathedral with its beautiful stained glass windows, San Isidoro Church or the façade of San Marcos Hostal Plateresque style. Continue to Oviedo. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 2 (Wednesday)               OVIEDO / LA CORUNA
Following breakfast depart for the region of Galicia; arrive at La Coruna for a panoramic tour followed by free time to perhaps visit the 100m Roman lighthouse (Tower of Hercules) and its modern interactive museum. Afternoon Optional Excursion: To the Rias Atlas through typical villages such as Pontedeume, Betanzos, etc. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 3 (Thursday)                   LA CORUNA / SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
After breakfast depart for Santiago de Compostela. Take a city tour of this legendary pilgrimage town including the Cathedral and Obradoiro Square. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 4 (Friday)                        SANTIAGO / RIAS BAJAS / VIGO
Breakfast and then depart for the Spanish Fjords (Rias Bajas). Through splendid landscapes visit La Toja Island, ria de Arosa and Pontevedra. Afternoon Optional Excursion: Across the Portuguese border to Santa Tecla and Valenca do Mino. Continue to the fishing port of Vigo. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 5 (Saturday)                    VIGO / VIANA DO CASTELO / BRAGA / PORTO
Following breakfast cross the Portuguese border to arrive in Viana do Castelo. This city is located between the mouth of the river Minho and Porto, you will have free time to visit the old town with cobbled streets and emblazoned buildings. This afternoon continue to Braga known as the city of the archbishops and the third most populated city in Portugal, free time before continuing to Porto. Accommodation.
 
Day 6 (Sunday)                      PORTO
This morning after breakfast enjoy a panoramic tour of this World Heritage city to admire the Cathedral, the stock Exchange building and the Santa Clara church, finish the tour at a local wine cellar to experience a tasting of the famous “Port wine”. Accommodation.
 
Day 7 (Monday)                     PORTO/ COIMBRA
After breakfast depart for Coimbra, the site of one of the oldest universities in Europe and birthplace of Fado, the music of Portugal. Coimbra is famous as a centre of learning and culture as seen in ancient streets and architecture. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 8 (Tuesday)                    COIMBRA/ FATIMA / LISBON
After breakfast depart for Fatima, the centre of the Christian Faith and the World Pilgrimage Sanctuary, with its impressive Basilica and the Cova da Iria (where the Virgin Maryappeared). You will have free time to visit the Shrine before continuing to Lisbon. Accommodation. Optional Night Tour: Attend a show of Fado (typical Portuguese song and music).
 
Day 9 (Wednesday)               LISBON
This morning after breakfast take a sightseeing tour of the ancient Olissipo. Drive through its main squares and avenues, by the Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Monument to the Discoveries, Marquis of Pombal Square, Liberty Avenue, the Alfama quarter and the old city gathered next to the castle. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation. Optional excursion: Sintra, Cascais and Estoril.
 
Day 10 (Thursday)                 LISBON / CACERES / SEVILLE
After breakfast depart for Caceres in Spain, a world heritage city,founded by the Romans in 25BC. The old town section of this beautiful city invites travellers to enjoy the medieval streets, plazas, towers, battlements, palaces, churches and convents. Free time for some exploration and lunch; maybe enjoy the highly regarded local cuisine and wines at one of many inns and restaurants. Continue to Seville, a wonderful city and regarded by some as the romantic capital of Andalucía. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 11 (Friday)                      SEVILLE
Today, after breakfast, take a morning city tour visiting the Barrio de Santa Cruz with its narrow streets, the Park of Maria Luisa and Plaza de Espana, also enjoy panoramic view of the city by coach. Lunch. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the city, perhaps a river cruise along the Guadalquir or a visit to the pseudo reconstruction of Pontius Pilates House (Casa de Pilatos), which began in the 16th century, and presents an interesting blend of Mudejar, gothic and renaissance styles with its beautiful patio and gallery, elegant fountain and ornamental Minerva statues. Lunch and then the afternoon is at leisure. Optional Artistic Excursion: Royal Alcazar Palace.Accommodation.
 
Day 12 (Saturday)                  SEVILLE / RONDA / MARBELLA
Depart after breakfast and travel the route of the white villages with a stop in Ronda, located over the El Tajo canyon (over 100 metres deep). Ronda invites visitors to wander along the fascinating streets and alleys or relax at one of many local cafes, perhaps one overlooking the El Tajo canyon. Enjoy the beautiful regional cuisine and fine local wines while watching the world go by. Continue to the Costa del Sol, arrive in Marbella. Dinner and accommodation.
 
Day 13 (Sunday)                    MARBELLA / GRANADA
Today, after breakfast depart for Granada the final stronghold of the Moorish Kingdom in 1492, a glorious city immortalised in song and verse and overlooked by the majestic snow covered Sierra Nevadas. Enjoy a sightseeing tour visiting the Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens, which showcases Moorish palaces, towers and gardens in an incomparable setting – the Alhambra is special! Dinner and accommodation. Evening Optional: Attend a typical show of gipsy flamenco.
 
Day 14 (Monday)                   GRANADA / TOLEDO / MADRID
After breakfast travel to the Imperial city of Toledo, a national monument of Spain, where the cultures and great religions of Spain (Christian, Moorish, Judaism) have left behind a legacy. After lunch, enjoy a sightseeing tour including Spanish art, history and spirituality. Continue to Madrid. END OF TOUR.
