Day 1 (Saturday) Santiago de Compostela – Viveiro
Meeting point at the Reyes Católicos Parador in Santiago de Compostela at 1200 noon. After the welcome reception, your guide will take you on a tour of the historic centre of this city, a pilgrim destination for one thousand years. Explore vast treasures of artistic culture and the splendid cathedral. After lunch, the luxury coach will take you to Ferrol, where the Transcantabrico train awaits. Once on board, the crew will offer a welcome drink, while the train travels to Viveiro. Enjoy a tour of the beautiful historic quarter of this town, where we will have dinner and spend the night on board.

Day 2 (Sunday) Viveiro – Candas
Begin your day with the delicious a-la-carte and buffet breakfast. Enjoy the scenery and relax on the Transcantabrico as it heads to Ribadeo, a historic Galician town bordering the Asturias Principality. The luxury coach will take you to the Lugo coastline to enjoy Las Catedrales beach, one of the most spectacular in the world. Panoramic tour of Ribadeo and lunch. Once aboard the train on the way to Asturias, the next stop is Luarca, the 'white village' on the 'green coast' and then all aboard the train once again as you head towards Candás, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3 (Monday) Candás – Arriondas
The day begins in Aviles; a millenary town with a well-preserved and valuable historical centre. The next destination on your rail adventure is Gijón; a city that is wide open to the great Cantabrian Sea and hosts many cultural events. Lunch. Next, the journey continues to Oviedo, the capital of the Asturias Principality and the heart of pre-Romanesque Asturias, with treasures such as San Julián de los Prados. Visit and free time before returning to the train. Dinner on board during the ride to Arriondas, where you will spend the night.
Day 4 (Tuesday) Arriondas – Llanes
The luxury coach will ascend to the heart of the Asturias Principality, in the magnificent Picos de Europa National Park. Visit Lake Enol and then the Covadonga Sanctuary; a sacred place full of tradition and legends. The next stop is Cangas de Onís. Lunch. After, with the train emulating the International Descenso de la Sella festival, the next stop is Llanes, a picturesque fishing village in East Asturias. Visit and free time. Dinner and overnight stay in Llanes.
Day 5 (Wednesday) Llanes – Cabezón de la Sal
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the train rolls along the rails while you take in the beautiful Cantabria scenery. From Unquera, the luxury coach takes you to Potes, crossing the impressive Desfiladero de la Hermida mountain pass. After visiting this charming Cantabrian village, enjoy the thermal baths at Balneario de la Hermida. After lunch, visit to El Capricho, in Comillas; a fantastic and colourful nineteenth-century palace designed by Antonio Gaudí. Dinner and overnight stay in Cabezon de la Sal.
Day 6 (Thursday) Cabezón de la Sal – Santander
The first stop is the town of Santillana del Mar, with its magnificently preserved Medieval historic quarter and the famous Altamira 'Neocave', a museum and scientific reproduction of the finest Upper Palaeolithic rock art ever found. After lunch, the train will take you to Santander, the elegant capital of Cantabria, where you can enjoy a guided tour and free time to explore at your leisure. After dinner, you can visit the Santander Grand Casino with entry included. Overnight stay in Santander.
Day 7 (Friday) Santander – Carranza
The Transcantabrico heads towards Bilbao; a vibrant town that has reinvented itself after the decline of its traditional heavy industry. The visit to the city includes an entry ticket to the famous Guggenheim Museum, the iconic symbol of this new Bilbao. After lunch, enjoy free time to explore at your leisure before climbing aboard the train once again. Dinner and overnight stay in Carranza.
Day 8 (Saturday) Carranza – San Sebastián
After enjoying your last breakfast on board, the train will return to Bilbao, where the El Transcantabrico coach awaits to take you to San Sebastián. Enjoy exploring this elegant and beautiful city, where major cultural events take place every year. End of the trip around 1300. in San Sebastián.
* On the day the trip begins, the access to the suite is not guaranteed until 18:00h, although other services are already underway. On the last day of the trip, the suite must be left before 12:00h, although all other services continue until later.
