2019 Itinerary:

Day 1 (Monday)                     MADRID

Arrive, this evening enjoy a welcome drink and orientation session at the hotel. Accommodation.

Day 2 (Tuesday)                    MADRID

This morning after breakfast enjoy a Madrid city tour; discover the medieval origins of the city such as the Arabic fortress at the Barrio de la Morería and drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterised by Phillip II and his Renaissance and Baroque style buildings. Visit Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III. Stop and visit the interior of the Royal Palace before also admiring the 19th century works of the Prado Museum. This tour will also include contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste; as well as the commercial and financial areas such as Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. Next, walk to a traditional Spanish restaurant to savour the delicious flavours of “Paella”. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.

Day 3 (Wednesday)               MADRID / CORDOBA / SEVILLE

After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the Julia Travel bus terminal (Plaza de Oriente), depart at 8.30am andtravel through La Mancha (Don Quixote country) to Cordoba, one of the oldest and most historic cities in Spain. Enjoy a Cordoba sightseeing tour including a visit to the magnificent 8th century Mezquita/Mosque/Cathedral and the historic Jewish quarter, with its narrow winding streets, decorated courtyards and patios of flowers. Lunch will be served at a typical restaurant, taste traditional “Cordobesa” cuisine, such as “Salmorejo” and “Rabo de Toro”. After lunch, continue to Seville, a wonderful city and regarded by some as the romantic capital of Andalucía. Accommodation.

Day 4 (Thursday)                   SEVILLE

Today, after breakfast, take a monumental and panormaticcity tour including the interior of Seville’s Cathedral, the Barrio de Santa Cruz with its narrow streets, the Park of Maria Luisa and Plaza de Espana. After the city tour enjoy a “Tapas” lunch, offered in two different typical Taberns. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the city, perhaps a river cruise along the Guadalquir or a visit to the pseudo reconstruction of Pontius Pilates House (Casa de Pilatos), which began in the 16th century, and presents an interesting blend of Mudejar, gothic and renaissance styles with its beautiful patio and gallery, elegant fountain and ornamental Minerva statues. Day 5 (Friday)                        SEVILLE / GRANADA

Today, after breakfast depart for Granada the final stronghold of the Moorish Kingdom in 1492, a glorious city immortalised in song and verse and overlooked by the majestic snow covered Sierra Nevadas. Enjoy a sightseeing tour visiting the Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens, which showcases Moorish palaces, towers and gardens in an incomparable setting – the Alhambra is special! This evening enjoy a dinner in a typical “Zambra Gitana” with a Gipsy Flamenco show at Sacromonte quarter. Accommodation. 

Day 6 (Saturday)                    GRANADA / TOLEDO / MADRID

After breakfast travel to the Imperial city of Toledo, a national monument of Spain, where the cultures and great religions of Spain (Christian, Moorish, Judaism) have left behind a legacy. Enjoy a short sightseeing tour including Spanish art, history and spirituality. Next proceed to a Wine Cellar for a Tapas lunch with wine tasting. Continue to Madrid. Accommodation.


Day 7 (Sunday)                      MADRID

Your tour arrangements end after breakfast. END OF TOUR.
