2019-2020 itinerary:
Day 1 (Saturday)                    BARCELONA / MADRID (train)
Make your own way to Barcelona Sants train station for AVE (high speed train) to Madrid. Upon arrival transfer from Madrid “Atocha” train station to Madrid hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 (Sunday)                      MADRID / CACERES / CORDOBA
After breakfast transfer to Julia Travel bus terminal (Plaza de Oriente), depart at 8.30am towards Extremadura, the homeland of many discoverers of the new world. Arrive in Cáceres, the capital of the province and declared a World Heritage City. Free time to walk through the old town with its ancient walls and well known medieval quarter. Afterwards continue driving south to Cordoba. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3 (Monday)                     CORDOBA / SEVILLE
This morning after breakfast enjoy a Cordoba sightseeing tour including a visit to the magnificent 8th century Mezquita/Mosque/Cathedral and the historic Jewish quarter, with its narrow winding streets, decorated courtyards and patios of flowers. Continue to Seville, a wonderful city, and regarded by some as the romantic capital of Andalucía. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 (Tuesday)                    SEVILLE
Today, after breakfast take a Panoramic city tour including the Cathedral (outside only), Santa Cruz Quarter, Maria Luisa Gardens and Plaza Espana. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the city, perhaps take a river cruise along the Guadalquir or a visit to the pseudo reconstruction of Pontius Pilates House (Casa de Pilatos), which began in the 16th century, and presents an interesting blend of Mudejar, gothic and renaissance styles with its beautiful patio and gallery, elegant fountain and ornamental Minerva statues. Dinner and accommodation. Optional Artistic Excursion: Flamenco tour.
Day 5 (Wednesday)               SEVILLE / RONDA / COSTA DEL SOL
Following breakfast, travel the route of the white villages including a stopover in Ronda, located over a deep ravine cut into rock. Enjoy time on your own to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvellous view of the valley and mountain range. In the afternoon continue to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 (Thursday)                   COSTA DEL SOL / GRANADA
After breakfast depart for Granada, a glorious city immortalised in song and verse, overlooked by the majestic snow covered Sierra Nevadas. Visit the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492, an amazing monumental environment. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and accommodation. Evening Optional: Attend a typical show of gipsy flamenco.
Day 7 (Friday)                                    GRANADA / TOLEDO / MADRID
This morning, after breakfast travel to the Imperial city of Toledo, a national monument of Spain, where the cultures and great religions of Spain (Christian, Moorish, Judaism) have left behind a legacy. Enjoy a short guided tour of this historical old town through its narrow streets. Then visit the famous “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron) workshop. Continue to Madrid. END OF TOUR.

*There is a small possibility that tickets to the Alhambra may not be attained, in which case the operator may be obliged to change the Alhambra visit.
