Ancient Pergamon was once the ancient world’s major power and a centre of learning and the arts. We will visit the Acropolis which once had a library holding 200,000 books, Temples of Athena and Trojan, Altar of Zeus (now at the Berlin Pergamon Museum), the Gymnasium situated on terraces and the lower Agora.

Day 2: Canakkale – Troy – Gallipoli – Istanbul
After breakfast depart for Troy with its famous wooden horse. Return to Canakkale to depart for Gallipoli. After lunch visit Anzac Cove, Lone Pine, Johnston’s Jolly, The Nek and Chunuk Bair. Depart for Istanbul at about 6:00pm for the approximately 5 hour return trip.

While it is possible to visit Gallipoli or Troy in 1 day from Istanbul, we do not recommend it unless there is no alternative. The total time taken for transport, touring the battlefields & meals is usually a minimum of approximately 14 hours.
